"It's Summertime!" Pot Luck Picnic Sunday, July 19, 2009 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Nalin Farm Pond Picnic Area Ft Detrick 7th Street Frederick, Maryland We have a great picnic pavilion reserved for our group.  The picnic area has CLEAN indoor rest rooms, a playground, and a beautiful lake stocked with trout for all you fisherpeople (you must have a valid license to fish). Bring your lawn Chairs, board games, cards, badminton sets, etc. Children ARE welcome to this event! Frederick Plus Size Connections will supply hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks, condiments, and dinnerware.  We are suggesting a donation from everyone to help defray the cost of these items ($8 per adult 12 and over, and $2 for kids under 12 suggested).  Please bring a dish to share.  There are electric outlets available for crock pots and hot plates, radios, etc. There will be games, door prizes, plus a 50/50 drawing, so come on out and have a great time while you show your support for the group! Fort Detrick is located on Seventh Street in Frederick, MD. Once you go through the front gate, turn right at the stop light. Go straight, past the satellite dishes and on your left you will see an access road that runs next to the pond. This is the picnic area. We can then caravan to the pool from the picnic area. In order to get onto the base, adults must have a picture ID, such as a driver's license or a military ID card.  The gate guards can direct you to the picnic area.   BE AWARE, THE SPEED LIMIT ON BASE IS 25 MPH, AND IS STRICTLY ENFORCED BY THE MILITARY POLICE!  ALSO, CELL PHONE USE WHILE DRIVING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED UNLESS YOU USE A HANDS-FREE DEVICE!
